Global Opportunity Desk (GOD) is a non-governmental organization that identifies, vets, and delivers scholarships, jobs, grants, training, and partnerships to young people across Africa, and, as we grow, across the world.

We were founded in Ghana, where we have built a network of  active ambassadors. We are expanding on a quarterly basis, country by country, starting with Nigeria.

Every opportunity goes through a structured vetting process before it is published. Our team confirms that each opportunity is genuine, relevant, and free of exploitation before it reaches our network.

Opportunities are published on our website and shared through our ambassador network. From August 2026, they will also be available on our mobile app.

No. Global Opportunity Desk does not charge young people to access or apply for the opportunities we share.

An ambassador is a young person who represents Global Opportunity Desk on their campus and in their community, promoting genuine opportunities, supporting beneficiaries, and feeding local leads back to our team.

Ambassadors are recruited through an open application process in each country and campus. Selection is based on reach, reliability, and alignment with our values, followed by onboarding and structured training.

 Ambassadors receive training, tools, recognition through leaderboards and tiered levels, certificates, references, and a genuine growth path into leadership roles as Global Opportunity Desk expands.

Ambassadors are not treated as passive volunteers. They are recognized as co-owners of the mission, with structured roles, training, and a defined path for growth within the organization.

We are currently active in Ghana, with Nigeria as our next launch market. We expand into a new country roughly once every quarter.

Country selection is based on real signals: existing demand, partner presence, ease of local coordination, and language, rather than a fixed list.

We track new partnerships, ambassador activity, opportunities published, and beneficiaries reached, supported by a dedicated database function that adds verified records every month.

Beneficiary and ambassador data is maintained by a dedicated Database Officer under structured validation rules and regular data-quality checks, and is used to track outcomes and report impact to our partners.
