The Department of Communication at Tulane University is recruiting an outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow to become an inaugural affiliate of a new interdisciplinary initiative examining the future of work. The programme seeks to support innovative scholars who can contribute original research while participating in the intellectual development of a center dedicated to understanding how technological, political, and cultural changes are reshaping work and society.
The successful fellow will hold a full-time appointment lasting 18 months and will balance teaching responsibilities with an active research agenda. The position includes a 2-2 teaching load (two undergraduate courses per semester), protected research time, and mentorship from experienced faculty members. This structure allows fellows to strengthen both their teaching portfolio and research profile while building collaborations across the university.
Researchers from diverse methodological backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The fellowship welcomes qualitative, quantitative, computational, mixed-methods, and interdisciplinary approaches that contribute to understanding the changing nature of work in the digital age.
