Africa No Filter Voices for Climate Justice Program 2026

Applications are now open for the Africa No Filter Voices for Climate Justice Program 2026, a funded storytelling initiative that supports African creatives in producing compelling climate justice stories that inspire public dialogue and action.

Delivered by Africa No Filter in partnership with Comic Relief, the 12-month programme will support 15–20 storytellers from selected African countries through training, mentorship, content amplification, and grants of up to US$4,000. The initiative seeks creative storytellers who can help audiences understand the links between climate change, debt, gender, and fossil fuels through engaging and evidence-based narratives.

About the Voices for Climate Justice Program

The Voices for Climate Justice Program is part of Africa No Filter's broader mission to transform narratives about Africa by supporting authentic storytelling that challenges stereotypes and highlights African perspectives.

The 2026 programme focuses specifically on climate justice. Participants will receive specialized training in climate justice, data storytelling, and narrative framing before working with researchers and experts to develop compelling stories based on credible evidence. These stories are expected to spark meaningful conversations and encourage action on issues affecting communities across Africa.

Whether participants tell stories through journalism, podcasts, videos, murals, or data visualization, the programme aims to strengthen their storytelling skills while expanding the reach and impact of their work.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be based in one of the eligible countries.
• Be a journalist, content creator, podcaster, vlogger, muralist, or data visualizer.
• Have an active and engaged storytelling platform.
• Demonstrate that the platform has been active for more than one year.
• Be willing to participate in the full 12-month programme.
• Commit to producing and sharing climate justice content during the programme.
