About USIU-Africa

United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) is a private university located in Nairobi, Kenya.

Selected EAC scholars will therefore have the opportunity to pursue postgraduate education in a diverse academic environment while gaining exposure to Kenya's professional and economic landscape.

About the EAC Scholarship Programme

The EAC Scholarship Programme is designed to promote postgraduate education, academic mobility and regional development within the East African Community.

For the current cohort, eligible EAC nationals can apply for Master's studies at selected universities, including USIU-Africa.

The USIU-Africa scholarship is specifically available for three designated Master's programmes, meaning applicants should confirm that their intended programme is covered before submitting an application.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Full tuition fees paid directly to USIU-Africa.
  • Return economy-class air ticket between the scholar's home country and Kenya.
  • EUR 380 monthly stipend for accommodation, meals, local transportation and other living expenses.
  • EUR 200 arrival allowance.
  • EUR 650 study-materials allowance.
  • EUR 1,500 study and research allowance.
  • Medical insurance for the duration of the scholarship.
  • Applicable visa or student-entry fees.
  • Participation in at least one extracurricular event.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of the EAC Scholarship Programme and the selected Master's programme at USIU-Africa.
