World Conference of Science Journalists 2027 Organizing Committee
Applications are now open for the WCSJ2027 Travel Fellowship, a fully funded opportunity for science journalists from around the world to attend the 14th World Conference of Science Journalists (WCSJ2027) in Pretoria, South Africa.
The fellowship is designed to support journalists who would otherwise be unable to participate due to financial constraints. By covering key travel and participation costs, the programme aims to promote greater diversity, inclusion, and global representation at one of the world's leading science journalism events.
The World Conference of Science Journalists is the largest international gathering dedicated to science journalism. Held every two years, the conference brings together journalists, editors, researchers, science communicators, media professionals, and policymakers to discuss emerging scientific issues, journalism practices, media innovation, and the future of science communication.
The 2027 conference will take place in Pretoria, South Africa, and will feature keynote sessions, panel discussions, workshops, networking events, and field trips designed to strengthen science journalism worldwide. The Travel Fellowship ensures that journalists from diverse regions and backgrounds can participate in these activities regardless of their financial circumstances.
