The Swedish Institute (SI) is inviting applications for the 2026/2027 SI Scholarship for Global Professionals, a prestigious and fully funded program that supports outstanding individuals pursuing a master’s degree in Sweden. The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals provides highly qualified students with the opportunity to study at top Swedish universities. The program focuses on individuals who demonstrate strong professional experience, leadership potential, and a commitment to driving positive change in their communities and professions.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive financial support, including:
- Full tuition coverage – paid directly to the Swedish university each semester.
- Monthly living allowance of SEK 12,000.
- Travel grant of SEK 15,000 (or SEK 10,000 for certain regions such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine).
- Membership in the SI Network for Global Professionals (NFGP) – a platform for leadership development, networking, and exchange.
- Lifetime access to the Sweden Alumni Network after the scholarship period, promoting continued collaboration and professional growth.
Note: The scholarship does not cover family members, insurance, or university application fees. It also cannot be extended beyond the approved study period or transferred to another program.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship: You must be a citizen of a country eligible for SI scholarships.
- Master’s Programme: Apply to a master’s program that is listed as eligible for the SI Scholarship (the updated list will be published in mid-November 2025).
- University Admission: You must meet the entry requirements of the Swedish university and apply for admission through the official University Admissions portal.
- Work and Leadership Experience: Applicants must demonstrate relevant professional experience and proven leadership skills through employment, community work, or civil society involvement.
