Eligibility Criteria

- They must be enrolling in a full-time, on-campus undergraduate program commencing in September 2026.
- Eligible programs must not exceed three years in duration. Programs in Medicine, LLB Maitrise, STEM International Foundation, International Year 1, or any course longer than three years are not eligible for this scholarship.
- Students must select the University of Leicester as their firm choice by the UCAS deadline of 30 June 2026 and meet all offer conditions by 20 August 2026.
- Applicants must achieve academic results equivalent to at least two grades above the standard entry requirements for their chosen course. For example, if the standard requirement is ABB, applicants would need to achieve AAA or its international equivalent. Flexibility may be applied where direct equivalence is not feasible.

Application Process
To apply, candidates are required to submit a short video, no longer than two minutes, as part of their application. The video should address the following prompts:
- What are your future aspirations after graduation?
- How will your chosen degree help you achieve these goals?
- How do you plan to contribute to the University of Leicester community during your studies?
The video can be submitted in any format, including links to platforms such as YouTube or Google Drive. Applicants do not necessarily have to appear on camera; clarity and thoughtfulness in responses are the key factors.
In addition to the video, the selection panel will review the applicant’s academic achievements, personal statement, and any notable extracurricular or community contributions. This ensures that the scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate both intellectual ability and leadership potential.
Selection and Award Details
- The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for the eligible undergraduate program, up to a maximum of three years. It does not cover living costs, accommodation, travel, or placement years.
- The application period runs from 18 November 2025 to 30 June 2026.
- Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated between 1 July and 20 August 2026. Successful applicants will be notified by 20 August, while unsuccessful applicants will be informed by 28 August 2026.
- Recipients of this scholarship may not combine it with other competitive University of Leicester scholarships for the same academic year. Only the highest-value award will be granted.
- If a student defers their admission to a future year, the scholarship will no longer be valid, and they must reapply under the funding guidelines for that year.
