Applications are now open for the Life-Baker Rising Stars Academic Competition 2026, an academic competition organized by the Life-Baker Group of Schools as part of its 20th anniversary celebration. The competition offers participants the opportunity to compete for school-fee scholarships with a combined academic value of ₦20 million. Registration is free, and approved participants will sit for a computer-based assessment on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Life-Baker College in Ijoko, Ogun State.
The Life-Baker Rising Stars Academic Competition 2026 is a merit-based initiative designed to recognize academic excellence among eligible pupils and students. Participants will be assessed in Mathematics, English, and General Paper, with scholarship awards determined by examination performance, category ranking, verification, and compliance with the competition rules.
About the Life-Baker Rising Stars Academic Competition 2026
The competition is an academic assessment rather than a conventional scholarship application. It was established to identify and reward outstanding learners through a rigorous computer-based test. Registration is open to eligible pupils and students from any school, provided they meet the stated eligibility requirements.
Every registration will be reviewed before approval. Only approved participants will receive competition instructions. Registration alone does not guarantee approval, participation, or a scholarship award.
Scholarship Benefits
Twenty successful participants will receive scholarships with a combined academic value of ₦20 million.
The top eligible participant in each competition category may receive a Grand Scholarship, which provides full school-fee coverage through graduation. To qualify, participants must score at least 85%, rank first in their category, complete the verification process, and receive final approval.
Additional high-performing participants will receive Merit and Recognition Scholarships based on their examination results and final rankings.
All scholarship awards are academic benefits redeemable only at the Life-Baker Group of Schools. They are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Competition Categories
The competition is divided into three categories:
- Junior Rising Star: Pupils currently in Basic 6 (Primary 6) who will move into JSS1 in September 2026.
- Intermediate Rising Star: Students currently in JSS1 or JSS2 who will move into JSS2 or JSS3 in September 2026.
- Senior Rising Star: Students currently in SS1 who will move into SS2 in September 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must currently be in Basic 6, JSS1, JSS2, or SS1. They may attend any school, provided they are enrolled in one of the eligible classes. Participants must be available to sit for the in-person computer-based competition on August 1, 2026, and must provide accurate participant and parent or guardian information during registration. Duplicate entries, impersonation, false information, or misconduct may result in disqualification.
Selection and Award Conditions
Registration entries will be reviewed before participants are approved for the competition. Scholarship awards will be based on verified computer-based test scores, category rankings, and compliance with the competition rules.
A Grand Scholarship requires a minimum score of 85%, first place in the relevant category, successful verification, and final approval. If no participant meets the required benchmark, the organizers may decide not to award the Grand Scholarship in that category.
Competition Details
The competition will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Life-Baker College, KM 3, Life-Baker Bus Stop, Ijoko–Agbado Road, Lemode-Ijoko, Ogun State.
Participants will complete a timed computer-based test covering Mathematics, English, and General Paper. Results will be processed on the same day, subject to audit and verification.

The registration deadline is Thursday, July 30, 2026. Interested parents and guardians should ensure applications are submitted before the closing date.
