The Google Ireland
Applications are open for the Google Ireland Scholarship for Women in Computer Science 2027, an opportunity designed to support aspiring women computer scientists in developing their academic careers and preparing for leadership in technology. The scholarship is funded by Google and administered by the Institute of International Education.
The programme provides selected students with a 5,000 EUR award for two consecutive years of undergraduate study. The scholarship is intended to help students meet eligible educational expenses while continuing their studies in Ireland. It is awarded based on candidates’ academic background and demonstrated leadership potential.
The scholarship is open to students who are currently enrolled in the first or second year of an undergraduate programme at a university in Ireland during the 2026 to 2027 academic year. Applicants must be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field and must intend to continue their Bachelor’s degree in Ireland during the following two academic years.
The Google Ireland Scholarship for Women in Computer Science was established to help aspiring computer scientists excel in technology and become leaders in the field.
The scholarship supports undergraduate women studying technical disciplines at universities in Ireland. Rather than supporting postgraduate study, the award is specifically intended for eligible undergraduate students who are already progressing through their Bachelor’s degree.
The scholarship is competitive, with selection based on the strength of applicants’ academic background and demonstrated leadership. Students are expected to remain enrolled in an eligible undergraduate programme in Ireland for the required study period.
The award may be used to assist with tuition and mandatory fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for the degree. It cannot be used for room and board.
